Gerry O Mahony

Limerick born artist studied at LSAD from 1971-1975 and graduated with an honours A.T.C.  Having taught art at second level in 1976 and 1977 he traveled and worked in Israel for two years.  In 1986 he spent a year in Malawi working in a Socio-Economic Project before returning to Ireland in 1986.  His first solo show was at the Belltable Arts Centre, Limerick in 1989. He has had several one-person shows nationally including an invitation by the Arts Council to show his work as part of the “Small Exhibitions” series in Dublin.  His most recent one-person show was in the newly refurbished Belltable Arts Centre Limerick in December 2010 and has an upcoming exhibition in The South Tipperary Arts Centre in July 2011. He has been a member of Contact Studios since 2005.




His work is in the collection of: Berlemonte Buildings Brussels (EU Commission), Government Buildings, Dublin; Limerick County Council, Dooradoyle, Limerick City Council; Limerick Regional Hospital; Touche Ross Limerick; H.S.E. Limerick; Packaging International Financing, Dublin.
